Developing Christ-Followers Through Musical Theater
Fall Semester and Production

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
Fall Production Classes
God has provided each student with unique talents that are meant for the stage! North Star Theater Company longs to encourage students to develop those skills of singing, dancing, and acting, and provide a space to grow in their musical theater knowledge as well as perform for others! Students who participate in this semester courses will learn stage direction, theater vocabulary, stage presence, and acting skills. They will be taught new choreography that challenges all levels, from beginning to advanced. Proper vocal skills will be practiced as students learn pieces of music and understand how to harmonize and develop musicality. My prayer is that they feel accomplished, develop a stronger passion for the performing arts, and give glory and worship to the Lord through it all.
